  • We are located at 100 W Emma Ave, Suite 101, Springdale, AR 72764. We are right next door to Onyx Coffee. We do NOT face Emma Ave. We face Turnbow Park and Shiloh Square.

  • AQ Chicken House was founded in 1947 and became one of Arkansas’ most beloved restaurants. While the original building closed in 2023, the AQ name, recipes, traditions, and legacy are continuing in our new downtown Springdale home at 100 W Emma Ave.

  • For the most part, yes! We’ve worked closely with former AQ team members and have access to the original recipes as we bring AQ favorites back to the table. It took us 18 months to track down the original cloverleaf roll recipe, and we are excited to bring it back!

  • ABSOLUTELY! We will have over the coals, pan-fried and BBQ. 

  • Many of the most-loved AQ favorites are returning. Some items may evolve as we balance tradition with a fresh experience for today’s guests. You can view our menu here.

  • Yes. Public parking is available throughout downtown Springdale, including nearby public lots and street parking.

    There is a large parking lot directly behind us, two lots behind Casa Alejo, across from Bella’s and at the Methodist Church after hours.

  • Not yet, but yes, we will update this answer as reservations and to go orders become an option.

  • Yes. We offer two options for private events, business lunches, rehearsal dinners, family gatherings, and celebrations. Contact us HERE for availability and pricing.

  • Yes! Just look for the AQ green patio furniture! Please check in with the host to be seated outdoors.

  • We sure hope so! We are hoping that people are just as excited as we are about AQ opening, so there might be a wait — BUT you can join the waitlist online from wherever you are and head to the restaurant when the time is right! We will text you when your table is ready and you will have 5 minutes to be at the host stand. View the live wait list HERE.

    The wait list is for parties of 6 or less.

  • For parties of 6 or more, an automatic 20% gratuity will be applied to your bill. No automatic gratuity will be added for smaller parties. Thank you for allowing us to provide great service to your group!

  • Absolutely. AQ has been serving Arkansas families for generations, and we’re excited to welcome the next generation.

  • Yes. AQ Chicken House has always been locally owned and continues to be to this day. In its almost 80-year history, AQ has only been owned by five families.

  • The old location was sold to a car wash so downtown Springdale seemed like the perfect spot to bring AQ home. The Downtown location allows AQ to be part of one of Northwest Arkansas' most vibrant gathering places while remaining rooted in the community where AQ began.

  • We offer several gluten-friendly options. Please let your server know about any allergies or dietary restrictions. Please note that our kitchen is not fully gluten-free, so there is a chance of cross-contamination. Specific gluten-free items include grilled chicken with either BBQ, blackened, or over the coals, catfish over the coals, salads, a variety of sides, and ice cream for dessert.

  • Yes. AQ merchandise and select retail items are available in the restaurant. Gift cards are available online here and in the store.

  • You can access AQ via the backdoor or across Onyx’s patio. This is public access to AQ.

  • While we strive to accommodate guests with dietary restrictions, our kitchen is not a gluten-free facility, and we cannot guarantee that cross-contact will not occur.

    Our fryers use a canola oil blend.

Need Help Finding Parking?

  • Parking in Downtown Springdale, Arkansas, is generally free and easily accessible. You can utilize a mix of convenient on-street parking spaces along Emma Avenue and several dedicated public parking lots scattered throughout the downtown area.

  • On-Street Parking: Free, parallel, and angled parking is available along W. Emma Avenue and surrounding cross streets like Spring Street.

  • Public Lots: Look for signs directing you to shared public lots situated just off the main avenue.
