  • AQ Chicken House was founded in 1947 and became one of Arkansas' most beloved restaurants. While the original building closed in 2023, the AQ name, recipes, traditions, and legacy are continuing in our new downtown Springdale home at 100 W Emma Ave. 

  • For the most part, yes! We've worked closely with former AQ team members and have access to the original recipes as we bring AQ favorites back to the table. It took us 18 months to track down the original cloverleaf roll recipe and we are excited to bring it back! 

  • ABSOLUTLEY. We will have over the coals, pan fried and BBQ. 

  • Many of the most-loved AQ favorites are returning. Some items may evolve as we balance tradition with a fresh experience for today's guests. You can view our menu here. 

  • No yet, but yes, we will update this answer as reservations become an option. 

  • Yes. We offer two options for private events, business lunches, rehearsal dinners, family gatherings, and celebrations. Contact us HERE for availability and pricing.

  • Yes. Public parking is available throughout downtown Springdale, including nearby public lots and street parking. View the city parking map HERE. 

  • Yes! Just look for the AQ green patio furniture! Please check in with the host to be seated outdoors. 

  • We sure hope so! We are hope that people are just as excited as we are about AQ opening so there might be a wait – BUT you can get your name on the list, grab a drink from the bar in one of Downtown Springdale’s walkable cups and enjoy all of the amazing shops that Downtown Springdale has to offer! 

  • Absolutely. AQ has been serving Arkansas families for generations, and we're excited to welcome the next generation.

  • Yes. Guests may order takeout directly from the restaurant. 

  • Not yet, but coming soon. 

  • Yes. AQ Chicken House has always been locally owned and continues to be to this day. In its almost 80-year history, AQ has only been owned by five families. 

  • The old location was sold to a car was so downtown Springdale seemed like the perfect spot to bring AQ home. The Downtown location allows AQ to be part of one of Northwest Arkansas' most vibrant gathering places while remaining rooted in the community where AQ began.

  • We offer several gluten-friendly options. Please let your server know about any allergies or dietary restrictions. Please note that our kitchen is not fully Gluten Free so there is a chance of cross-contamination. Specific Gluten Free items include; Grilled chicken with either BBQ, blackened or over the coals, catfish over the coals, salads and a variety of sides and ice cream for dessert.
